Meet Our Articling Student

Jagat joined Taurus Law in August 2025 as a Student-at-Law. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. Her areas of interest include Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Corporate and Commercial Law.

Driven by a passion for advocacy and community, Jagat dedicated part of her academic experience to community and outreach. She volunteered with Student Legal Services, providing guidance to individuals from low-income backgrounds, and contributed to public legal education initiatives through an internship at the Centre for Public Legal Education. For three years, she also helped organize the annual Legal Innovation Conference at the University of Alberta, fostering dialogue on the future of law and technology.

Before pursuing her legal career, Jagat worked in business analytics and customer service, where she developed strong analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills. These experiences enhance her approach to problem-solving and her ability to deliver thoughtful, client-focused solutions.
